Information We Collect

When you create a Kanta Analytics account or use our service, we collect the following categories of information:

  • Account information — your name, email address, and password (stored as a secure hash) when you register.
  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, session duration, and actions performed within the dashboard. This helps us understand how the product is being used and where to improve.
  • Device & browser data — browser type, operating system, screen resolution, and IP address for security and compatibility purposes.
  • Payment information — billing details processed securely through our payment provider. Kanta never stores your full card number.
  • Communication data — emails or messages you send to our support team.
02

How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly to operate and improve Kanta Analytics:

  • To create and manage your account and authenticate your identity.
  • To deliver the core dashboard functionality — report ingestion, Sub ID analysis, and ROI calculations.
  • To send transactional emails such as account confirmations, password resets, and subscription invoices.
  • To respond to your support requests and questions.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • To improve product features and fix bugs based on anonymised usage patterns.
  • To send product updates or announcements — you may opt out at any time.

We will never use your data to serve you third-party advertisements or share it with data brokers.

03

Data You Upload

Kanta Analytics allows you to upload CSV reports from Shopee and Meta. This is the heart of our service. Here is how we handle your uploaded data:

  • Your reports are yours. Uploaded files are associated solely with your account and are never accessed by other users.
  • Processing only. We process your uploaded reports to calculate commissions, ad spend, and ROI per Sub ID. We do not analyse or resell insights derived from your data.
  • Storage. Processed report data is stored securely and tied to your account so you can access historical comparisons. Raw uploaded files are deleted after processing.
  • Deletion on request. You may request deletion of all your uploaded data at any time by contacting us or deleting your account.
Note: We recommend you do not include personally identifiable information about your customers or end-users in any reports you upload. Kanta is designed for campaign-level analytics, not individual user tracking.
04

Cookies & Tracking

Kanta Analytics uses a minimal set of cookies necessary to operate the service:

  • Session cookies — to keep you logged in during your session. These expire when you close your browser.
  • Preference cookies — to remember settings such as your selected date range or dashboard layout.
  • Analytics cookies — anonymised, aggregate data to understand how features are used. We do not use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel on the authenticated dashboard.

We do not use advertising cookies, retargeting pixels, or any third-party tracking that follows you across other websites.

05

Data Sharing & Third Parties

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. We share information only in these limited circumstances:

  • Service providers. Trusted third-party services that help us operate Kanta — such as cloud hosting, payment processing, and transactional email. These providers are contractually bound to protect your data and may only use it to perform services on our behalf.
  • Legal requirements. If required by law, court order, or government authority, we may disclose information as legally obligated. We will notify you where permitted.
  • Business transfer. In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may be transferred to the new entity. We will notify you of any such change and your options.

No data is ever shared with advertisers, data brokers, or marketing platforms.

06

Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide our service:

  • Account data is retained while your account exists. Upon account deletion, we remove your personal information within 30 days.
  • Report and dashboard data is retained according to your plan. Beta users enjoy full access during the free beta period until 30 June 2026. The Shark plan (launching July 2026) retains 365 days of data history.
  • Billing records may be retained for up to 7 years for financial compliance and tax purposes.
  • Anonymised analytics data may be retained indefinitely as it cannot be linked back to any individual.
07

Security

We take reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data against unauthorised access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction:

  • All data in transit is encrypted using TLS (HTTPS).
  • Passwords are hashed using industry-standard algorithms and never stored in plain text.
  • Access to production systems is restricted to authorised personnel only.
  • We conduct regular security reviews of our infrastructure and dependencies.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to use best practices, we cannot guarantee absolute security. If you discover a vulnerability, please report it responsibly to [email protected].
08

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correction — request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete data.
  • Deletion — request that we delete your account and associated data.
  • Portability — request your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — object to certain processing activities, such as marketing communications.
  • Withdrawal of consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting prior processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days.

09

Children's Privacy

Kanta Analytics is a business analytics tool intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal data, please contact us at [email protected] and we will promptly delete that information.

10

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time as our service evolves or regulations change. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page.
  • Send a notification email to registered users at least 14 days before the changes take effect.
  • In some cases, ask for your renewed consent where required by law.

Continued use of Kanta Analytics after the effective date of any changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
